Ablative Coatings

Ablative coatings to seal penetrations and linear seals to maintain the required fire resistance of a compartment

Flexi-Coat Coating

Flexi-Coat®

Flexi-Coat® has been developed for use on stone wool or elastomeric base. Once the Flexi-Coat® is applied it prevents the passage of fire, smoke and sound between fire rated compartments giving a fire resistance tested to EN1366-4: 2009 EI 120. Flexi-Coat has also achieved 600Pa air permeability resistance testing to EN 1026 and 450Pa water permeability resistance testing to EN 1027. Can be installed into voids / cavities up to 500mm wide.

The Advantages of Flexi-Coat®

  • Certifire No. CF5094
  • CE Marked
  • Flexible elastomeric polymer coating
  • Flexible linear joint sealing system
  • System designed to seal the edge of slab to outer wall up to 500mm wide
  • Allows service movement in penetration seals
  • Fire resistance tested to EN 1366-4:2009 & EN 1366-3:2009
  • Fire resistance classification EN 13501-2

PS Coating

PS Coating

PS® Coating has been developed for use on mineral wool as an alternative to pre-coated batts. PS® coating is a applied to a pre-fitted stone fibre of >140kg/m3 density and thickness between 50-150mm to prevent the passage of fire, smoke, air and sound between fire rated compartments giving a fire resistance tested to EN1366-3:2009 EI60 and BS 476 240 mins. Can be used to coat service insulation as part of the sealing system.

PS Coating is a water based ablative acrylic costing, having excellent fire, water, air permeability and elastomeric properties for service penetration openings containing metallic pipes, cables, cable trays and trunkings. Ideal for trowel, brush and pouring applications. At normal temperatures PS Coating remains flexible to permit thermal and mechanical movement of services and the building structure.

The Advantages of PS Coating

  • CE Marked
  • Used seal penetration seals with on site coating applications
  • Allows user to choose the stone wool substrate
  • Available for brush application
  • Fire resistance Tested to EN 1366-3
  • Fire resistance classification EN 13501-2
  • Water based ablative acrylic coating
  • Contains low VOCs

Pyrocoustic Trowel Grade

Pyrocoustic® Trowel Grade Sealant

Pyrocoustic® Trowel Grade Sealant is a one part, intumescent acrylic emulsion. It is designed to resist the passage of fire, smoke, air and sound. The trowel grade sealant will intumesce and form a char when exposed to the heat of a fire that prevents the passage, of fire and smoke. In normal use it will maintain the sound reduction index of a structure. Pyrocoustic has been tested for use in rigid walls and floors and flexible walls.

The Advantages of Pyrocoustic® Trowel Grade Sealant

  • CE Marked
  • Fire Resistance testing to EN 1366-3 and EN 1366-4
  • BS 476 300mins.
  • UL-EU, UL-US &UL-C Listed
  • Fire Classification EN 13501-2
  • VOC Tested - ASTM D2369-10, LEED 2009-EQ041 SAQMD
  • Certifire 3rd Party Accreditation CF517
  • Acoustic Isolation to EN 10140 to 63dB
  • Air Permeability testing to EN 1026 to 600Pa - 100Pa 0.0/0.0 m3/h/m2
  • Shelf life 18 months.
